Christ Climbed Down
By Lawrence Ferlinghetti

CHRIST climbed down
from His bare Tree
this year
and ran away to where
there were no rootless Christmas trees
hung with candycanes and breakable stars

Christ climbed down
from His bare Tree
this year
and ran away to where
there were no gilded Christmas trees
and no tinsel Christmas trees
and no tinfoil Christmas trees
and no pink plastic Christmas trees
and no gold Christmas trees
and no black Christmas trees
and no powderblue Christmas trees
hung with electric candles
and encircled by tin electric trains
and clever cornball relatives

Christ climbed down
from His bare Tree
this year
and ran away to where
no intrepid Bible salesmen
covered the territory
in two-tone cadillacs
and where no Sears Roebuck creches
complete with plastic babe in manger
arrived by parcel post
the babe by special delivery
and where no televised Wise Men
praised the Lord Calvert Whiskey

Christ climbed down
from His bare Tree
this year
and ran away to where
no fat handshaking stranger
in a red flannel suit
and a fake white beard
went around passing himself off
as some sort of North Pole saint
crossing the desert to Bethlehem
Pennsylvania
in a Volkswagon sled
drawn by rollicking Adirondack reindeer
with German names
and bearing sacks of Humble Gifts
from Saks Fifth Avenue
for everybody's imagined Christ child

Christ climbed down
from His bare Tree
this year
and ran away to where
no Bing Crosby carollers
groaned of a tight Christmas
and where no Radio City angels
iceskated wingless
thru a winter wonderland
into a jinglebell heaven
daily at 8:30
with Midnight Mass matinees

Christ climbed down
from His bare Tree
this year
and softly stole away into
some anonymous Mary's womb again
where in the darkest night
of everybody's anonymous soul
He awaits again
an unimaginable and impossibly
Immaculate Reconception
the very craziest
of Second Comings

Hello NovaPrime,

Thank you for your perspective on this. Yes, the chances are there that my father could be working with Dr. Mendoza. He was good at keeping his yard tidy throughout his eighties.

I talked with my father about where he was heading after he would pass over. I told him about Michael, the Mansion Worlds, and my many years of being a student of TUB". He was the most righteous man I knew without a religion; he didn't have much belief in God, but always allowed us to have our own. His mother and father never told him they loved him. His father put him down constantly, telling him he wouldn't amount anything in his life.

We're it not for my spending the last three months with him, he would have died feeling like he was a worthless man. We talked of forgiveness. He learned self love was important for his continued life in the hereafter before he passed over. He is not missed by many, but I learned much about Our Father's Love in those last days.

A note to sister Allie:  I laughed about your comment about throwing the windows open and letting the breeze blow through. That was my father's last request. His last words to me were "kitchen window"---mine, to him, were "its wide open, Dad!"

My apologies to all members and guests for this last outburst of mine. At a point, you all may reach this point I have reached, where I have to play the part of Elihu for now. If you don't know the story of Job, you wouldn't know that Elihu was the last to speak to Job in rebuke.

Larry, Sue, Evan, Lemuel, Charlie, and yes, you, Antonio, and overmind, all of you know who you are. We've been reading each other's most private voicings from the Celestials, some of you for many years now. We would trust each other in a room with other strangers, many of us have vivid images of what each of us look like, so that we could recognize who is who.

Brothers and Sisters, if we lose communication with each other at the chance that the forum should go offline, do you all have other ways to get ahold  of each other?  It may be something to think about.

Have any of you had radical life changes as a direct result of your commitment to this forum? I know from my own personal experience that, when you commit yourself, body and soul, to the beliefs that come from nowhere but here, you can start lasting waves of distrust in your close friends, people will tell you you're not thinking clearly. You might even spend a lot of money on therapy to be "normal" again.

Changes are upon us, folks!  When your fearless leaders, whatever they're called today, or tomorrow, are warning you to get ready for tectonic plate shifts, tsunamis, magnetic pole displacements, famine throughout the world, for God's sake, be as prepared as you can!  Get to know your neighbors so you can be of help when times get tough. But when I'm told to move because my home will be under water next week, next month, or sometime next year or the year after, I will test the source, test the spirit, to see if they are from God. If I don't, I might find myself living alone in Montana or New Mexico or York, PA with all my investments converted to paper dollars and Bitcoins. Be harmless as doves, but remember to be wise as serpents.

I invite any PM that may come my way, or, public rebuke here on these pages. I'm not waiting patiently for the New Urantia Book, Reverend John Ruland. The original Urantia Book is truly all we really need to bring this planet into the Age of Light and Life through our human efforts!  Yes, it will take time, but what are we doing NOW?  Waiting for Spirit to circumvent time and bring this new mission to us tomorrow? or next week? or next month? only to find the chalkboard wiped clean when it gets too hot in the kitchen!  Change their names, change the dates, make them feel small, and weak, again, and again...

A good friend told me "Jesus is our shining example!"  Well, isn't he living in a house in New Hampshire? Ron? You told me my father would be around for two more years, yet he died in April. Years ago, you assured me that my mother was well, on Mansion World Two and will be going to Mansion World Three. You said my father will be working on botanical project with Dr Mendoza. When I asked him before his passing, how he felt about botany, he yelled, "I hated botany! It's the only class I ever flunked!" The likelihood that he's working with Dr. Mendoza is minute, minuscule.

There!  That feels much better!

Thanks for changing that name from Megatron, a Transformer who lead the evil Decepticons in their Battles against Optimus Prime, to Exotron, which is much easier to remember since it's a big manufacturer of mobile web games available for sale from Amazon, not to mention that Exotrons were robots who housed the dead bodies of earth-colonists in a series of three Doctor Who audio releases, number 95 to be exact,...  .

I just wanted to see if I could make a run-on sentence that I could understand at the period.

If Metatron was a being our forum should be identifying with, I am surprised that their is no mention of Metatron in the Urantia Book. However, there is also no mention of Monjoronson, Serara, Margul, ...now we have Exotron, just another " Goliath from your quiver of deity stars". Ron, I can't follow you at all in your last few posts!  I pray you get help to get your engine back on the track of reality.  Geoff606

P.S.:  A Nyala is a South African antelope.

AUDIO TAPE Transmissions Here / Re: Audio Transmission/ FINDHORN
« on: November 20, 2017, 02:41:44 AM »
My findings are that Peter Caddy, co-founder of Findhorn, died in a car crash on February 18th in 1994.

I'm finding David Marshall Spangler in Issaquah, Washington. I can find no information on his passing on November 10th.

Why would Monjoronson and Mother Spirit want to tell us differently than easy-to-find information? Are we expected to accept all this information as fact when a bit of searching proves it to be false? Wake up, folks!

Charles Manson is dead. I don't expect to hear from him on this forum, but what does happen to one so steeped in evil in his earthly life after he passes over these days?

Mike, Ron and Creator Son Michael,
These last few posts about nitrous oxide got me curious. Since nitrogen dioxide is used to make nitric acid, why are you saying it doesn't exist here on Urantia? Hmm...

Ron, you first transmitted "oxalic acid", also known as wood bleach. A simple cleaner, but poisonous if ingested and contact with skin is not recommended. My assumption is we are searching for a cleaner to remove Strep C.

The old phrase "had a rhubarb" got me looking this up as well. The stems and leaves are poisonous if ingested raw, but cooked, rhubarb has a tart taste, great in a pie! I wasn't aware of the word being used in a crowd while recording movies, they would murmur "rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb " to create a non-intelligible mumbling background noise.

I have yet to find relevance in the use of the word "Fortuneteller"...

Grasshopper, I'm hopping away, following you...and MidiChlorian!

Thank you for your response, Jim!  I can agree with all that you said. I feel that, many times, words are used without knowing their true meaning. And sometimes, the wrong words are used, words are left out, etc. That is to be expected. Most of us are still human. But when I think of an audience of thousands, I do proofread anything I post. I owe that to all of you!

Thank you, Assale and Daniel, for giving your responses to my post. I am still not satisfied with the explanations given. If you're telling me that it's semantics, Daniel, then I will have to accept your answer. Can you give me a detailed explanation of how " I change not" and "...it is the full right and prerogative of The Father to change at any time" can possibly mean the same thing?

Am I the only forum member that doesn't "go with the flow" on this topic?  If you must convince me that Our Changeless Father would tell us one thing (knowing full well that it was not the truth), and then change plans on us to what? test our faith?  It just makes no sense to me!

I am willing to wait for the Magisterial Mission to start when it starts. But yes, I have been disillusioned by so many dates being set and then explained away. Let's stop leading the forum into believing these potential dates. I would have much stronger faith if, when I "test the spirits to see if they are of God", they passed instead of failing.

Again, this is just my opinion, folks!

Daniel and Califax,

I would remind us all of a few statements from The Urantia Book which I still consider to be true statements:
2.2.1. There is infinite perfection in the divine integrity. “I am the Lord; I change not.”

4.4.2. The very identity of God is inimical to change. “I, the Lord, change not.”

66.6.6 The Dalamatia teachers sought to add conscious social selection to the purely natural selection of biologic evolution. They did not derange human society, but they did markedly accelerate its normal and natural evolution. Their motive was progression by evolution and not revolution by revelation. The human race had spent ages in acquiring the little religion and morals it had, and these supermen knew better than to rob mankind of these few advances by the confusion and dismay which always result when enlightened and superior beings undertake to uplift the backward races by overteaching and overenlightenment.

Can both, your post from Califax and these UB quotes, be true?  Maybe someone can give a better explanation. Otherwise, I can see no way to agree with your post.

I feel this site is diluting the truth we have all accepted years ago. My apologies for being critical, but this is my opinion.

New Members Forum/Introduce Yourself / Re: New member! Hello Everyone!
« on: August 15, 2017, 08:00:20 PM »
Hello Kyle22!  I would also like to welcome you to the forum we have here. I enjoyed your narration of your recent introduction to The Urantia Book. You have put in an immense amount of hours studying the UB already. Even old veterans of the book, like myself, a reader since 1974, have much to gain from this continual renewing of the Spirit, coming back to the forum daily to drink in the fresh waters!  May your hunger for spiritual truth be whetted here, and may your thirst for more communication with the source of The Urantia Book, be quenched each time you come back to this Serara Forum.

To Daniel and Angela,
In answer to your question to Daniel, I brought this quote out of the Urantia Book:

4.3.2 The eternal God is incapable of wrath and anger in the sense of these human emotions and as man understands such reactions. These sentiments are mean and despicable; they are hardly worthy of being called human, much less divine; and such attitudes are utterly foreign to the perfect nature and gracious character of the Universal Father.
4.3.5 The Universal Father never does anything that causes subsequent sorrow or regret, but the will creatures of the planning and making of his Creator personalities in the outlying universes, by their unfortunate choosing, sometimes occasion emotions of divine sorrow in the personalities of their Creator parents. But though the Father neither makes mistakes, harbors regrets, nor experiences sorrows, he is a being with a father's affection, and his heart is undoubtedly grieved when his children fail to attain the spiritual levels they are capable of reaching with the assistance which has been so freely provided by the spiritual-attainment plans and the mortal-ascension policies of the universes.

A warm welcome to you, Kyle!

I'm late with my greeting but wanted to thank you for joining the Serara Forum. Had I found this group back in 1975, I would have eagerly signed up. But alas, back then you carried a heavy book around, at least I did. I carried the Urantia Book, the CONCORDEX by Clyde Bedell and a study guide to relate passages in the Bible to where you could find that information in the Urantia Book. I had them in a leather case I had with me constantly, so that I could tell people I met just how important this "good news" was!

I subsequently gave the whole parcel to the pastor at Faith Center in Eugene, Oregon, a few weeks after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit there. I waited in line until he was in front of me, held out the leather bag and said "This is my fleece. I give it to you because I believe it is what it proclaims to be, the fifth revelation of truth to our planet. Take ten years reading it if you need to. It will lead your whole congregation to a Jesus you can only know after reading the Urantia Book."

He told me "Geoff, I'm going to BURN this book!  You get into your Bible--you'll find everything you need in there! "

This pastor has gone on to his morontia life, I would assume. He crashed his small plane coming home from southern Oregon quite a few years ago. I always wondered what really happened to that parcel of books. I trust they are in good hands...or ashes. But he knows now!

Just one of many stories that have made up my life. Kyle, I know you have been following your TA's leading for many years of your young life. I agree with Sue, that you should eat that UB up, digest it and then you'll know why we are all going to enjoy the outcome!

Here's a short quote for us all from the Urantia Book:

137.8.12 “This new kingdom is like a seed growing in the good soil of a field. It does not attain full fruit quickly. There is an interval of time between the establishment of the kingdom in the soul of man and that hour when the kingdom ripens into the full fruit of everlasting righteousness and eternal salvation."

Again, thanks for joining, Kyle.

In Michael's Service,

Geoff

New Members Forum/Introduce Yourself / Re: Introduction of a Newbie
« on: February 18, 2017, 02:36:55 AM »
Welcome, BrianVB!

I enjoyed reading your introductory post. I do relate to the "tears of joy" being shed many times while reading, or rereading The Urantia Book. I remember my first introduction to the UB at a friend's home. I started reading at page 1176, after perusing the table of contents, and became engrossed in the Nature and Ministry of Thought Adjusters. That was August 1974.

My 36 year employment was working in a high-end audio store. We published a booklet each year and handed them out to our customers. It was informative and full of reviews on equipment we recommended. I can understand why you found the UB such a valuable book, considering the work you did writing manuals. It's easy to see from your post that your writing skills are well practiced.

Again, I welcome you to our forum. There is much to read here, in the archives and in posting history.  We will enjoy hearing how your TA guided your life decisions to bring you to this spot we all share.

Geoff

Hello Wendy, and niant2,
I am also finding the link is taking me to an account login page, not Serara's message on faith. I would love to hear it, Wendy!  I'm looking forward to a correct link. Thanks!  Geoff606

Dearest Wendy,

I had the feeling of sitting at the feet of Our Master Michael as he spoke to all of us gathered around Him. There is a genuine sensation of Michael's message being given through your very pleasant voice. I also enjoy how you have captured the ambiance of the room you are in by distancing yourself from the recording device. By comparison, when Ron Besser records, he is closer in proximity to the microphones on his DAR-101, so his voice is close and intimate, minimizing the ambient sounds.

Both methods work well, so long as traffic noise and babies crying don't get recorded as well. However, for sheer concentration, I enjoy the close-up, intimate and involving sense experienced when your recording is made just a meter or so away from your recorder. Play around with it!  I love how you add variations in tonality and alter pitch and inflection to bring the message through with it's intended expression. Well done, sister Wendy!

Your brother in Eugene, Oregon,

Geoff
