Stromboli volcano
« on: July 04, 2019, 08:20:44 AM »
Stromboli, a volcanic island in the north of Sicily, erupted on the 3rd of July. According to Geology.com, ‘‘Stromboli is the most active volcanoes on earth and has been erupting since almost continuously since 1932.’’ The image below shows ‘‘how Stromboli is located above a subduction zone formed where the Eurasian and African plates collide.’’

Some tourists were caught up by surprise in this spectacular eruption of the Stromboli. In my view, the tectonic plates must have something to do with this eruption. Domtia
