Hi Weydevu,

I would sometimes ditch the sermon and spend my change for the collection plate for some candy & cookies.

We couldn't do that growing up as we were warned that that"s God's money and if you spend it then something terrible will happen to your family and as kids you believe what those who are older than you tell you. With time you realize that that's just a  cock and bull story. I bet you had your fan with that change  

By the way Aretha was one of the greatest voices ever. No wonder she was the complement of James Brown as the Queen of soul.

I remember that Lightline. I was on streaming and time did not allow you to sing this songs as requested by one of the participants. Well here is a version I found on YouTube. It is a nice song really with Irish origins but the story behind it is kind of wrapped in mystery as there are many different opinions as to its meaning.

Father how I pray that you guide our thoughts, words and deeds each moment.
Father how I pray that we have spiritual courage
Father how I pray that we have spiritual endurance.
Father how I pray that we have spiritual stamina.
 
Father how I pray that each one of us will realize that you are with us always.
Father how I pray that we shall all stay the course no matter the circumstances.
Father how I pray that none of us will fall away from your will, your love ,your grace and your tender mercies.
 
Father how I pray that we shall all be about your business.
Father how I pray that we shall all walk through each moment of life with our heads held high knowing that there is victory in you Father and all that you do Father is Good and best for us.
 
Father how I pray for you inspiration, guidance and wisdom each day of our lives.
Father how I pray that each and every one of us will make you proud as your child Father.

I have just been online and the clips on YouTube are really saddening and the forecast is that this is going to continue in the coming days. We pray for those affected especially by the loss of lives and destruction of property. I guess we have to brace for more earth changes as we have been informed on the forum numerous times.

This is an old thread but it is an interesting read,Clency. Thank you to Ron for your response as well. The second return of Jesus and the Missions truly have their work  cut out for them. They are coming to deal with all these and more. Eventually no matter how long it takes, things will be made right. The drudgery by a majority of humanity for the benefit of the so called elite few will have to be righted at some point come hell or high water as Lemuel would say.
