CNN: The 8.2 magnitude earthquake that struck off Alaska's coast Wednesday night was the strongest one since 1964 (https://www.cnn.com/2013/07/05/world/earthquakes-fast-facts/index.html), an official told CNN.

The very strong quake was located about 56 miles (91 kilometers) east southeast of Perryville, Alaska, and happened around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, the US Geological Survey said.
At 29 miles deep (46.7 km), the earthquake is considered shallow.
"This event was felt throughout the Alaska Peninsula and Kodiak," according to (https://twitter.com/AKearthquake/status/1420645363027890177) the Alaska Earthquake Center.
There have been at least two strong aftershocks, including a preliminary magnitude 6.2 and magnitude 5.6, the USGS reported.

Also today many more moderate earthquakes still occurring near Alaska.

This type of magnitude probably has something to with the solar wind Julio pointed out to us 2 days earlier.  In other words the winds stimulated the corp of the planet and up bubbled a quake somewhere on the Pacific Rim, and the energy will spread along the plate boundaries of North America.  I've experienced a 6.0 or 6.2 when Seattle had one and it was enough to watch reality itself wave in the wind.
