THE QUEEN
« on: September 10, 2022, 01:51:49 am »

Lemuel:
I have my own special memories of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth ll.
For the two years, 1972/74, I served as the Bandmaster of the 1st Batallion of the
Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, stationed just outside Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Queen was the Commander in Chief of the Regiment and in 1972 she
came on an official visit.

Somewhere in the castle´s museum, there is a photo of the Queen sitting amongst
the WO1s, (Warrant Officers) and Sergeants with me sitting next to her.
We chatted for a moment or two. A treasured memory of mine.

Her passing is proving to be a catalyst that makes millions of people around the
world reflect on the qualities of what service and duty really mean. In a very real
but strange way, I feel she has also helped them to accept the return of Jesus, which
I also feel will take place after the period of mourning is over.

I omitted to mention that the museum is in Stirling Castle, Scotland.
